2020 is here. Ahhh, that feels so weird to say and type! I have no idea where this year went, but i’m ready for it to be over! 2019 was a hectic year for me. Lot’s of ups and downs, but it taught me a lot! I made some amazing friends, spent quality time with my family and let go of a lot of negativity. I’ve never been more ready for a new year like I am now! 2020, i’m ready for you! Two things I don’t like about the new year : Everyone starts talking about “New Year, new me” and everyone get super emotional when the clock strikes 12 lol! Start your New Year right with these tips!
Let’s start this New Year off right. TOGETHER. Let’s not set unrealistic resolutions that are super easy to break. Let’s be real! Here are 4 major tips to help you start your New Year on the right foot!
- & probably the MOST important one, Let Go Of Toxic People And Things. It’s been so long these toxic things have been lingering in your life and it’s time you LET THAT GO. Sometimes we forget that real love is loving yourself and if something isn’t good for you, why treat yourself or put yourself through that situation? Drop that and refuse to bring it with you into this new year
- Clean Out. They say spring cleaning is the best time to clean… I don’t agree. I think the best time to clean is before the holidays. Think about what you really need what you really love and if its not on that list, donate it! DO NOT throw it away, there are people in need all around the world especially in your own city. I promise after you get rid of something, you will feel like a brand new woman!
- Acknowledge The Positive. I recently made a friend that really made me see the positive things in everyday. Although I ALWAYS joke around that his positivity make me nauseous because I stress so easily, for 2019 i’m taking a page out of his book. We all have our days where nothing seems to go right, but in those rough days there a tiny moments where things were good and we should spend more time acknowledging those things instead of all the things that go wrong!
- Invest Time In YourSelf Speak life and love into yourself. You’ve probably been putting everyone and everything (Including work) over yourself and it’s time you say “No” It’s ok to take time for yourself, it’s ok to show yourself some (MORE LIKE A LOT OF LOVE) It’s good for you. Whether is be a long bath, mini vacay, mani or pedi; Invest time into yourself!!

Love all of these. My biggest thing this year is to not let people or things bother me as much as I let them bug me last year. I’ll definitely be practicing a lot more self love and relaxation like you mentioned. I’m sure it will make me a better mom and person as a whole.
These are so good! Definitely working on staying positive even with the little things and the every day. It can feel redundant but it’s so true how we take for granted of the little things. Thank you for sharing these!
I did #2 during the beginning of Christmas break. I usually declutter twice a year but this was the first time I did it before Christmas. I really liked it (and gave away a lot of things ). Will most likely start to do this yearly.
