I probably say this every time I leave my house. California is a big ass state. As much as I do genuinely hate it, i’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone to try and appreciate what Cali has to offer! So here’s a recap of a few dope spots you can hopefully be inspired to check out!
In The Desert:
I feel like all of California looks the same, but just bigger or smaller plants around. It’s most of the time all dead, but I can appreciate the beauty in the morbidly looking desert for the most part. I have to admit that ANY place in California makes for a great photo opp, so who can really complain. Right?
Tim Boba:
Boba is a thing right now! Everywhere I look, there’s a new boba tea spot! Having no idea what it was, we tried it! Honestly, the tea and coffee were great, but i’ m not crazy about the boba at the bottom.
What i really enjoyed about this place, was the atmosphere. You could totally come here to dig your head into your homework, study for a few hours or to just chill! They have a shelf with tons of games for you and your friends to play while there, whiteboards and best of all chargers on all tables!!
Afters:
After’s is by FAR the best ice cream spot you can go to. I am NOT a ice cream person, but I have to admit that After’s ice cream seriously made me appreciate ice cream and crave it more! Aside from the great flavors, they had some really dope toppings. My Rick and Morty inspired double scoop came with special themed toppings. You have the option to do cone, bowl OR DONUT BUN. You read that correctly. I think the ice cream inside of a donut really got me hooked because if you know me, you know I love me some donuts!
