The 2021-2022 school year is about to being. I know where did time go? But back to school is my favorite time of year, now more than ever because we homeschool and out classroom is out home. Today I will be showing you how I used my Cricut Joy to create some class room decor, label our homeschool cart and made first day of school t-shirts!
This 21-22 school year will be our first full year homeschooling, as we doing half way through first grade last school year. My daughter is going to second grade and we are so excited. What I am most excited about is creating a space that sparks creativity and fuels my daughters confidence as she learns new things this year! I am a firm believer that being immersed in a creative, hands-on environment fuels those little minds to engage more! Which is why our homeschool cart was a must have addition to your homeschool section.
I labeled the 3 tier cart (from top to bottom) Plan, create, learn. As labeled the top tier hold our planners, morning work and journals. The second tier is create and here my daughter can find all things no-prep crafts so she can create whatever comes to mind. My goal for making these accessible is to inspire creativity!

My next project was to properly label out bins in or cube organizer. It was hard for my daughter to find things and I kept referring them to the top left, bottom and so on! We have 3 bins and since the crafts found a new home in the cart organizer, I chose to use the bins for sensory bin items, science materials and then the last one for random things. You know those things you purchased just because and figured you would find a use for them eventually! Since labeling everything, it’s made finding things so much easier!

Lastly, we did some decorating! This was so much fun. Our walls are white as we are now in an apartment and adding some color was much needed! I created a mini bulletin board and started with a cute colorful message that ready “Home Sweet Homeschool.” In the future we will be adding more to it. I created a decal for this little pencil decor item we has and I created a little homeschool pennant flag! All with my Cricut Joy! The last thing I decorated was some really cute and comfy t-shirts for us! Designing t-shirts with my Cricut has never been easier! The designs I chose for all my projects were fonts from Cricut Access which is super convenient! Everything you need in just one place. Below you will find some photos of the finishing look to our homeschool area! I love my Cricut because Cricut helps teachers focus less on preparation and more on inspiration!
